The first annual Show was first performed in 1948 as a PTO skit at the former Grant School. Over time, The Show became more than just tradition, it became part of the culture of the tight-knit Washington School community. The Show is the PTO's biggest fundraiser, with proceeds going to classroom resources, teacher grants and additional programs for Washington’s students. The tireless efforts of parent performers, teachers and behind-the-scenes crews, combined with generous support from local merchants, make the months of planning all worthwhile year after year.
